The Story

x1 DIY Magento Mech

Compatible with PS4, PS5, PS DSE, XSX, & Marius Analog/3-Pin. No installation instructions at this time.

If you are replacing the OEM mechanisms for TMR, we recommend replacing both mechanisms for consistency. Issues may occur when utilizing two different sensor types during operation.

Our DIY Magneto Mechs are our solution to at-home repairs and longevity upgrades anyone with experience can apply to a controller, now with our pre-installed Tension modification! We take an original ALPS thumbstick mechanism and retrofit new TMR sensors to it in order to ensure compatibility and familiarity.

Adopted by many professionals as the must-have option for accuracy and control, Magneto Mechs are a custom retrofit that incorporates superior TMR sensors into the original thumbstick mechanism of the controller. They provide more stable performance and reduced thumbstick drift compared to the original carbon potentiometer-based or Hall Effect thumbstick mechanisms.

If you order increased or extreme tension, there may be a yellow switch inside the mechanism, rather than the black one that is normally on stock mechanisms. This is for your stick click, and we have found these to perform better on higher tension mechs than the black switch.

Replacements will correct issues with stick drift, broken plastic retainers, and slow turn in most cases. If you are uncertain about the repair, please consult us for a mail in order. All mail-ins go through a pre-test, repair, and double post-test process for proper calibration.

We wrote this article on understanding thumbstick drift and how it can influence in-game settings earlier this year, and are happy to spread the news of potential at-home solutions for issues everyone experiences.

Follow the link for our guides on how to recalibrate thumbsticks for PlayStation or Xbox controllers once the Magneto Mechs are installed.

***SOLD INDIVIDUALLY, NOT BY PAIR***

All replacement parts are sold "as is", have no warranty, and are non-refundable.
